Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery Awarded Two Bronze Medals At San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Lawrenceburg, KY – Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery received the official
notification that two of their wines, Riesling and Blackberry, were awarded the Bronze Medal at the 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.  This is the largest competition of American wines in the world, receiving nearly 5000 entries.

“There are numerous competitions in our industry, but this one includes the most prestigious wine labels from California and across the U.S., so we are thrilled to be a medal winner”, said co-owner/winemaker, Logan Leet.  Pam Leet, Logan’s wife, added, “I am particularly proud of this honor as Logan only took over this project a bit over a year ago and this endorsement tells us we’re headed in the right direction.”

The two winners, along with the KY State Fair Gold Medal Winner, Cynthiana, and the Wines of the South Gold Concordance Winner, “G”, are available at most local retail wine stores, as well as the winery.

Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery is nestled in the hills of the Kentucky river basin in Anderson County just outside Lawrenceburg. The soils of Lovers Leap, so famous for producing tobacco and renowned bourbons, have now been tasked to nourish wine. The rich earth is the perfect medium to unlock the flavor that is the Bluegrass.
